🇬🇧 Originally, Nutella was a smart solution 🇬🇧 Originally, Nutella was a smart solution to a tricky problem: the shortage of cocoa supplies following World War Two. Pietro Ferrero, a pastry maker from Piedmont in Italy, ingeniously created a sweet paste made from hazelnuts, sugar and just a little of the rare cocoa. He shaped it into a loaf that could be sliced and served on bread and he named it 'Giandujot' after a famous local carnival character at the time. On May 14th 1946 the Ferrero Company was officially founded. ————————————————— 🇮🇹 Pochi forse sanno che, in principio, NUTELLA è stata creata per rimediare alla scarsità di cacao dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Pietro Ferrero, un pasticcere piemontese, ha l'idea di creare una pasta dolce con nocciole, zucchero e il poco cacao disponibile a quel tempo. Le dà la forma di un panetto, in modo da poterla tagliare e gustare su una fetta di pane, e la battezza "Giandujot", dal nome di una celebre maschera del carnevale torinese. Il 14 maggio 1946 viene fondata ufficialmente la ditta Ferrero.
